Formed in February 2007 while sitting in Tom & Jerry's lamenting the fate of Modern Rock, Joe Popp and Tylor Durand decided to take matters into their own hands and do what they had been threatening to do for years - form a band. Originally envisioned as an acoustic duo named The Glasses, upon hearing Popp's first demo entitled "Gray Skies," Durand shouted, "WE NEED TO GO ELECTRIC, AND I NEED TO PLAY THE DRUMS."

Enter Brian McCabe.

The deal was sealed during a Super Bowl party and rehearsals began in earnest soon afterwards. Popp (vocals & guitar) came in with a batch of songs and McCabe (bass) threw down some killer riffs to form a full set of melodic ear crushers that the band hammered to form over the next few months.

The first live gig was September 8th, 2007 at Don Hills in Manhattan, a mere seven months after that fateful day at the bar. The band performed fast and loud and it was proclaimed GOOD.

Two weeks later, The Hornrims convened at City College Sound Studios where they began to record thier debut album. The sessions went well and the album was released on May 31st, 2008.
